AirCurve 10 CS Servo Ventilator (ResMed)

Description

The ResMed AirCurve 10 CS servo ventilator is a device specifically designed to adapt to the changing respiratory needs of patients with central sleep apnea, mixed sleep apnea, or periodic breathing. Its adaptability makes it a highly effective and comfortable option for treating these conditions.

The device allows for three operating modes:

• CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure). In this mode, the device provides constant positive pressure to maintain a patent airway.
• ASV (Adaptive Servo Ventilation). The device provides constant positive expiratory pressure (EPAP) and automatically adjusts the pressure support according to each patient’s respiratory needs during sleep.
• AutoASV. Both the pressure support and the positive expiratory pressure are automatically adjusted with each breath. Very useful for patients with high respiratory variability.

The Aircurve 10 CS servo-ventilator features advanced technology designed to promote patient comfort and adaptation to therapy:

• PaceWave Algorithm. This algorithm analyzes 13 points in the patient’s breathing to dynamically adjust the pressure support in each respiratory cycle. The main objective of this is to synchronize with the person’s respiratory effort, thus providing comfortable, precise, and effective therapy.
• Easy-Breathe. An algorithm that models the pressure waveform to mimic the patient’s breathing pattern. This feature provides more physiological and tolerable breathing during therapy and helps improve treatment adherence.
• Vsync. This is the intelligent leak compensation system. It works by differentiating between therapeutic flow and leaks, and adjusts the delivered pressure at all times to maintain adequate ventilation. It ensures stable synchronization between the patient and the device.

For greater comfort during therapy, the device allows integration of the HumidAir™ humidifier and the ClimateLineAir™ heated tubing, which maintain the air at a constant temperature and humidity. The unit can be connected to an oxygen therapy source and supports a maximum flow of 15 liters per minute.
